Andela’s mission is to advance human potential by powering today's teams and investing in tomorrow's leaders. We also believe that talent is gender-neutral and that if we can create a more balanced tech scene now, and promote gender equality throughout the tech industry, we’re going to make a better, balanced technology industry for future generations.
To that end, Omowale David-Ashiru; Andela Nigeria's Country Director, will share her experiences in tech as well as lead a brainstorm discussion on how to promote female inclusion within tech, and what we are doing as Andela.
This one-of-a-kind workshop will be led by Omowale David-Ashiru, Andela Nigeria's Country Director. It’s going to be a learning and open conversation, so come ready to engage!
Before joining Andela, Omowale’s professional career included a decade-long stint at Accenture, where she started as an Analyst and grew to become a seasoned Management Consultant, Certified Project Manager and Senior Manager. One of the first victories as a woman in tech was her work on a project for the biggest bank in West Africa at that time, implementing “Finnacle” developed by Infosys. She then moved on to establish a fashion retail company, which she managed for eight years.
Omowale obtained a First Class B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ibadan, and has a deep passion for people, is an avid reader and loves adventure.
